When we first opened our doors in January 2010 one of the first Riding Club's to start making use of our online entry system was Brimham Riding Club. The Club itself was also in its infancy at that time, having been formed in 2009. Brinham RC covers Brimham, Ripon, Pateley Bridge and Masham areas of North Yorkshire.
We recently caught up with Adele from the Brimham RC committee and asked her about Brimham RC's experience of Horsevents.co.uk from a Riding Club perspective.
Q. What do you use Horsevents for? Public events or Members events?
We use horsevents mainly for our lessons for members but do also use it for our events eg dressage comps , social events like Trips to Horse trials or hoys
Q. How long has Brimham RC been in existence and what size of Club are you?
Formed in 2009, the club aims to provide activities for riders of all abilities and experience from 14 years old. At our year end we usually have about 150 members .
Q. Does having a monthly financial reconciliation with Horsevents work for the Club?
Yes very much so as its easier for our treasurer to keep track if things .
Q. Do you feel people are more open to entering online than they used to be? Is there still resistance to it within Brimham RC at all?
No most people are happy to enter online as its the way forward .
Q. What do you think of the new site layout launched last year and the new Control Panel launched at Christmas?
Yes I like the new site, although I still occasionaly have to go to the old site if I have a problem but I am finding it ok most of the time .
Q. Are you aware of the new features in the new Control Panel:
the ability to manage additional logins to your account control panel?
No
the ability to edit your landing page at: horsevents.co.uk/BRC?
No
the ability to manage your own members list that gives them access to your members page at: horsevents.co.uk/BRC/members/
I have had a quick look but I haven't changed any thing yet
Q. Are there any additional features you would like to see in future updates?
Maybe if we could upload a picture for an event from our albums ?
